Artist's Comments
Here's Skippy, my poor lab rat from an unnamed series. It also involves my character Kage, the weasel. Whom I have posted here several times before. Kage is due for a redesign, actually. So expect that later.
I still have gifts and requests to do. If I did 'em all at once I'd go insane, but expect 'em still. I was practicing glows on this, didn't come out as good as I wanted to, but I'm learning.. give me some advice, experienced folks. Poor Skipper has no tail. Oh and to those who know me and Icey IRL, yes Skippy is named after her rat. Fffff. However, he's not completely based on him.. except he sorta is. Cause he's insane. xD Skippy and Art © to S.K. -- Dolores Umbridge: You may have heard rumors that a certain King of Rock and Roll is still alive. This...is...a...lie. Harry: IT'S NOT LIE, I SAW HIM!   While I'm not really that experienced, I do have some advice on making things look glowy and have them look like they're a source of light. However, I'm horrible with words... Maybe I should make a tutorial on it or something... Regardless, the only things I can say that won't take forever to explain would be:
1.] The fire would be white at the source and blue near the edges, because fire is hottest near the source and white is the hottest color. 2.] Try blurring the edge of the fire so it actually looks like it's glowing and not like it's...not. *couldn't think of a better phrase* But this looks great for a first attempt. I like his floaty pose and his expression. I hope my critique helps. -- "Don't fuck with a pissed off Magikarp because it will evolve into Gyarados and it will fuck you up." Commissions!  Shading on the character looks very good like it usually does. The wires do look a little uneven, though.
As for the glows, the ones coming from the flames are good, but the flames themselves look kinda funky. Other than that, this is a pretty good looking piece of work. -- Sweep the streets as would Picasso stroke his brush.   ohh man o.o i bet he cant be too happy can he-- Now bend over and grab your ankles.  Cool!
